1. Under eye de-puffer
This is a product that is not that talked about generally but can be a savior if you are not getting enough sleep and still want to look flawless.
A de-puffer generally comes with a little metal ball applicator which helps to cool the under-eye area and can help to reduce any puffiness in the area. This can help your eyes look more rested and be a great product to start off your makeup with. Simply apply the solution with the applicator to your under-eye region and you can see instantaneous results that looks like you have gotten the rest you need.
This is your best friend when you haven’t had the proper beauty sleep you need. Apply concealer underneath your eyes in a right-angled triangle shape, with the edge tapering near your nostrils. Concealer can be applied on the bridge of the nose, the chin and the cupid’s bow area as these can help to brighten up your face and hide any dark circles that you may have on your face. While choosing a concealer for your skin, choose one that is one or two shades lighter than your skin tone for best results.
Often with duskier skin tones, a problem may occur where the dark circles are too deep set with blue undertones. You can use a color correcting concealer in an orangish-coral shade to cancel out any darker undertones and then follow up with a regular concealer to really cancel out the dark circles.
Eyeshadow can further help you to open up your eyes and help you look more awake and this is a great trick to help you cheat your eye makeup to make your face look more rested. For this, you will need to create what is known as a halo effect on your eyelid. To start off this look, use a medium color as your crease color.
Darken the edges of your eyes with a darker color and place the same color on the inner portion of your lid. Now add a brighter shimmery color on the center to complete the look. Using this combination can help to open up your eyes and make you look well rested. Complete the look with the same darker color on the outer edge of the lower lid and the lighter color on the inner edge. Blend with the crease color for a seamless look.
4. Inner corner highlight
Inner corner highlight is another great tool to help you open up your eyes and make them look brighter and wide awake. A blinding inner corner highlight can help to complete your eye makeup and help it look seamless. To do this trend correctly, all you will need is a highlighter, you can use the same highlighter as you do in the next step and a small rounded shadow placing brush. Use the brush wet with setting spray for a more dramatic effect. Place the highlighter at the inner corner of your eyes. This may take some time to get right as it can depend on the eye shape, which point to highlight to make your eyes look more awake but play around with your makeup for a bit and you will definitely find it.
5. Face highlight
Highlighting your face can help to make your skin look glowing, hydrated and healthy. Since a lack of sleep can make your skin look dull and lifeless, this can help you make your skin look healthier. Use highlight on your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose or the tip of your nose for a subtler effect, your cupid’s bow and lightly touch your forehead for a glowing, healthy-looking skin.
These are some of the best ways to help you trick people into thinking you get more sleep than you have.
